About Alto Leather
Brand Philosophy
At Alto Leather, we believe in making things that last — not just in how they’re built, but in how they feel over time.
In a world of fast fashion and planned obsolescence, we chose to slow down. To use better materials. To craft by hand. Because we believe in objects that earn character, and become more yours with every year, not less.
This is how leather used to be made — and how we still make it today.

Our Craft
Each Alto Leather item is handcrafted in Palestine using full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather from some of Italy’s most respected tanneries — including Badalassi Carlo and Conceria Walpier. These leathers are known for their natural finish, rich texture, and the way they develop a beautiful patina over time.
Every cut, stitch, and edge is finished with purpose and precision, using traditional techniques that prioritize durability, feel, and timeless design.
The Meaning Behind Alto
The name Alto means “high” or “elevated” — a reflection of our commitment to raising the standard of everyday carry through craftsmanship, not complexity.
Our logo features the silhouette of the Palestine Sunbird — a small, resilient native bird, known for its beauty and grace. It’s a quiet tribute to where each piece is made and a symbol of how we work: with patience, with pride, and with purpose.

A Note from the Maker
I started Alto Leather because I couldn’t find a wallet that felt right. So I made one.
What began as a personal project became something more — a passion for materials, form, and function. I’ve spent years refining every detail, learning traditional methods, and building a process rooted in quality.
For me, it’s about creating something worth holding on to. Something that wears in — not out.
